SECT Staking Rewards: APY and Accrual

Sectora advertises SECT-denominated holder rewards. The headline figure is a project-published annualized rate; actual economic outcomes also depend on token price, fees and contract behavior.

Published reward rate

Sectora’s staking page states 14.9% per year with rewards accruing every second. It illustrates this as approximately 149 SECT over one year for a 1,000 SECT position before considering fees or the market value of SECT.

This is an illustration of the stated nominal rate, not a commitment that the market value of rewards or principal will remain stable.

What funds the rewards?

The project says its treasury provides SECT to the staking rewards contract in advance. It also states that the SECT asset does not mint additional tokens for holder rewards.

A reported pool balance should be independently checked on-chain. If funding or contract conditions change, actual rewards available for claim may differ from a website illustration.

Claimable versus projected rewards

Projected rewards estimate what could accrue over a given period; claimable rewards reflect an actual position according to the staking contract.

Any interface should be read alongside the wallet’s transaction history and contract records, particularly when transactions fail or a balance has not refreshed.

Rewards are not the airdrop

Staking rewards are earned in the holder-rewards program. The Genesis airdrop is a separate advertised allocation based on qualifying stake and Hash Node activity.
