How to Stake SECT on Sectora
Before staking SECT, distinguish the token you are holding from the contract that receives the deposit. Sectora publishes a sequence using Ethereum mainnet, an exact-amount approval and a separate deposit transaction.
Step 1: Check the network and token
Sectora describes its SECT asset as an Ethereum ERC-20 token. A wallet needs Ethereum mainnet selected and sufficient ETH for network transaction fees.
Confirm the token address through official documents rather than relying on a token ticker or a search advertisement. Tokens with matching names can exist on unrelated contracts.
Step 2: Review the staking contract
Before considering any on-chain stake, independently verify the staking contract address, token contract, network, and published instructions. An informational guide cannot verify transactions on your behalf.
Avoid approving unlimited spending where a smaller, exact amount is available. Approval only grants permission; the next deposit confirmation is the transaction that actually moves tokens.
Step 3: Confirm deposit and review balances
After depositing, a connected wallet may display the deposited amount and accrued rewards. The project’s public guide describes a second wallet confirmation for the deposit transaction.
Do not treat a projected annual reward figure as funds already earned. Balances and claims should be verified against the blockchain and the current contract state.
Step 4: Know the exit process
The published program says users may claim rewards and withdraw deposited SECT without a required lock-up. There may still be network fees, transaction delays and contract risks.
If your purpose is Genesis airdrop eligibility, withdrawing can interrupt the time your position counts toward its campaign rules. Read the airdrop eligibility guide first.
